Michigan Policy Summit

The first Summit was quite an event! Seeing so many fellow progressives in one room for the opening session was exhilarating, but the breakout sessions were, for me, the icing on the cake. I, for one, hope this closed blog will grow to become a locus of information for all of us about our various activities.

I mentioned that I am the coordinator for the Isabella Blue Tiger Democrats. If you don’t know anything about Blue Tiger Dems, you can look it up on the Michigan Democratic site here. In Isabella county, we define Blue Tiger Dems as being primarily the connecting tissue between established service organizations and the people who need the services. Yesterday, as we discussed the need to make connections among ourselves, I realized that this forum could operate like the Blue Tigers do in the non-digital world.

I’m looking forward to creating and expanding this new information hub.
